I got some really cute pictures of Jake during and after his bath the other night. He is just too cute!! And has sooooo much energy! He practically runs around in his walker now while clapping and waving his hands in the air (and screaming)!! And I can't forget to mention....his two front teeth are starting to come down!
Jake had fun during his play date with Lona the other night. He is very interested in other babies and kids. He has been so interactive and engaging lately. Some of the new things he has been doing include waving, clapping, and shaking his head "no". He is very social- he doesn't seem to mind who is carrying him around, as long as someone is paying attention to him!
Here are some pics of Jake scooting around in his walker. I got some with and without the helmet. I try to grab the camera every time we take off the helmet b/c it doesn't happen very often. We are trying to keep it on as much as possible before his f/u appt in October- so that hopefully he will get to go down to wearing it at night time only! He has done great with it, and here recently it really seems like his head is starting to round out in the back!
Jake got to visit with his Nanny over Labor Day weekend. He had so much fun going for stroller rides around the house, eating yummy food from the garden, and splashing his feet in his cousin's swimming pool. Also, Jake waved for the first time while we were there- he was saying "hi" to his Uncle Earnest (it was so exciting) !
Jake was so cute the other night when we went out to eat. He got to try some of his Pops' ice cream and he loved it! Look at him licking his lips!! Too funny :)
Here are some pictures of Jake in the helmet he started wearing when we got back from the Texas trip. The nurse said she has never seen so many babies wearing helmets these days. Well here is the cutest one of them all:
He will probably start wearing it only at night time after our follow up visit in October. The funny thing is he hasn't minded it at all since it was put on!
Here are some pictures from our adventure back to NC from our Texas trip. We stopped for some Mexican food (because you can't visit Texas without stopping for some Tex-Mex) in Johnson City after leaving Kerrville. The sign said - "the best Mexican food", which actually turned out to be true! Jake had his first experience of sitting in a high chair at a Restaurant:
We will definitely be back to that Restaurant the next time we are driving through! Here is Jake cuddling with his bear he got as a gift from his GG while we were driving home (thanks GG!)
And later in the hotel room: (this kid is well-traveled!)
And during a rest stop: (guess who was doing all the driving!)
