Bath Time Fun
Jake loves taking baths. I took a couple of cute pictures of him the other night at the end of his bath. He wasn't even ready to get out when the water was draining as you can see in these pictures:

Visit
Jake got to visit with his Nana and Papa this past weekend at my sister's house. We went to stay with them for a long weekend and Jake had so much fun. He got to play with his cousins and show Nana and Papa how he could walk around! Here are a couple of cute pictures I took while we were there:
Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures with Jake's Nana, his cousin Zoe, or his Aunt Jennifer.....but at least I remembered my camera this time! It was such a great visit, we can't wait until the next one!!

Walking Around
Jake's walking skills have really taken off this past week. Once he started venturing out on his own, he realized he really liked this whole walking thing! Here are some pictures of him walking around the house this past week:

More Snow
We had another snow day today. The sun is out this time though, so most of it is gone now. But I was able to get Jake out to walk around in it for a little bit this morning before it cleared up!
After we got back inside, Jake played a little bit:

Cabin Fever
Have I already mentioned how ready we are for the Spring? For the most part we have been sitting inside for the past couple of weeks, trying to escape the cold. So, I haven't taken many pictures since we haven't done anything too exciting- but here are a couple of cute ones of Jake playing:
Jake turned 13 months old this past week. I can't believe it has already been a month since his first birthday! He has still been very interested in walking, but prefers to hold on to one of our fingers. He can walk around on his own if we let go and are right there with him. But in the past couple of days, he has really gotten brave and has started venturing out on his own a little bit. I have caught him letting go of his grasp on the furniture to try and get to a ball across the room or even to go jump on Catfish's back!
Jake has also started to figure out how objects fit into certain spaces. He has a little pull along wagon thing with different spots for square blocks to go and he is able to pass a square block through one of the holes and put the blocks on top of the square spaces. He has been babbling alot and it even sounds like he is trying to say certain words like ball, dog, and cat. We have a toy that sings the alphabet and we hear him trying to sing his A, B, C's after he hears the song. It seems like he has grown up so much just in one month- he is really starting to seem like a little boy!

Snow Storm
We had a big Winter storm come through here this past weekend, which brought lots of snow! We have been so ready for the Winter to be over, but I have to say this was kind of neat to see.
We got Jake all suited up and took him outside to enjoy it for a little bit- although looking back at these pictures I don't know how much he was enjoying it. Well lucky for him, it was so cold outside that we only took him out for a minute! On the other hand, Catfish was dying to get out and run around in the snow. So, I took him over to the open field across the street......and we both had a fun time running around and playing in the snow!!
While we were over there, I took a picture of the house.....and if you look closely at the front door, you can see Jake looking outside making sure he isn't missing out on any of the action!
