Happy Halloween!!
I can't believe it is already Halloween time again. It seems like just yesterday that we took Jake trick-or-treating in that really neat historic district of Nevada City, where we were at in California. This year wasn't quite as big and spectacular, but it was really special b/c Jake is now at a great age to really know what is going on!

For the past two months, Jake has been talking about how he wanted to be a bear for Halloween. I searched in a couple different costume shops and couldn't find anything. I finally found this costume online and he really loved it b/c it has the claws he wanted. He said he was a "grizzly" bear (as you can tell from the pictures above where he is attacking Jason)!

Jake had a really great time trick-or-treating tonight and everyone thought he was so cute in his little bear costume. Now it's time for us to change the focus to our big day that is approaching very quickly. Only two more days until the baby is here! Nana and Papa have made it to town and we have everything in place, washed, and ready to go. Now we just...wait!!

Fall Festival
All the festivals and fairs come to NC in October. Here are some pictures of Jake enjoying the Fall Festival in our town this past weekend. We started with the parade on Friday night, which Jake enjoyed b/c he got to see the fire truck and they threw out candy. And he loved all the bouncy rides at the festival, here he is on the big slide:

We had taken him to a fair in Greensboro the weekend before where he rode the kiddie train and car rides for the first time. He was scared to go on the carousel ride when we were out in California, so I thought he might not like these rides yet. But this time he had no fear (and actually kept asking if he could go again)! Here he is on one of the car rides at the festival. At first he was sitting in the front, but the steering wheel wouldn't turn (which is what he really wanted to be able to do)...so he hopped to the back:

We had a really good time throughout the weekend, so I think we will take him to the State Fair in a couple of weeks!
