Spoons

Sometimes Jake just sits in his high chair, perfectly content, entertaining himself with whatever toy happens to be in front of him. I thought these pictures were cute of him playing with his spoons:

Reading with Daddy

As I said before, Jake loves flipping through his books! Here he is enjoying his favorite book with his Daddy:

Play Time

Jake has been enjoying playing on the floor much more lately. He even sits and entertains himself for longer periods of time, while before he didn't like it when we left the room! He has gotten very good at moving from a sitting up position to lying down and he is really trying to figure out how to do the reverse. But most exciting of all.......he has started pulling up to a standing position all by himself!! He did that for the first time this week and it was so great! It is so much fun to be a part of his firsts....we are all so proud. Here he is playing:

Size Five

Jake just went up to a size 5 diapers. He actually hasn't reached the weight range for them yet, but the other ones were starting to look a bit small (probably b/c he is sooooo long)! He loved playing with the box after I opened it. He is so strong- I think he even picked up the entire box after I took the diapers out of it.

My Favorite Book

Jake loves looking at books- right side up, upside down, sideways.....it doesn't matter as long as he gets to flip through the pages and look at the pictures. He also loves when we read to him, sometimes he gets so excited he starts shaking.

Magic Wand

Here Jake is playing with the glow wand his Pops got for him at the parade we went to the night before the Fall Festival. Actually, the wand doesn't really glow anymore b/c it has been dropped one too many times! None the less, Jake still loves to play with it....and just about anything else he can get his hands on!! He is too cute for words :)


Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention- his second two teeth on top are coming in! Happy 10 months Jake!!

Happy Birthday Mommy

Jason made the best cake (my favorite- yellow cake w/ chocolate icing) for my birthday and Jake helped me blow out the candles! Jake happened to turn 10 months old on the same day since both of our birthdays fall on the 4th! I can't believe he will be 1 yr old in two months!!
