Happy Thanksgiving!

Of course I forgot to bring my camera to Charlotte this past weekend where we celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family! Jake had so much fun running around and playing with his cousins. I did manage to take some pictures on my mom's phone (but unfortunately I wasn't able to get everyone who was there):



Lucy enjoyed her first Thanksgiving, but slept most of the time!! It was so great for everyone there to get a chance to meet her :)

During our visit, we all went to the Discovery Place to see the Mummy exhibit. Here are some pictures taken when the kids were playing afterwards:



It was such a great trip as always! We miss you all already!! Jake keeps talking about what a good time he had with all of his cousins :)

Settling In

Here we are at home, settling into our new life. The transition to taking care of two precious little ones has been absolutely wonderful!

First Outing

We took Jake and Lucy to the zoo yesterday for our first outing since becoming a family of four! We didn't stay very long, but it was nice to get out after being cooped up in the house for a week recovering :)

Big Brother Jake

At first Jake thought baby Lucy was kind of neat, but after a couple of nights of mommy being away taking care of her instead of at home with him (I think he wasn't so sure he wanted to take Lucy home with us). But his mind quickly changed when he realized that she sleeps most of the time anyways, so it doesn't really take much of the attention away from him :) And besides that, he seemed to think Lucy was kind of cute when she squirmed around and made all those funny noises! So, before we left the hospital he was already saying, "I like Lucy!" Here are some pictures of the two of them once we brought Lucy home from the hospital:




Jake- you are already the best big brother Lucy could ever hope for! We love you so much and are so proud of you!!

We had a short two day stay in the hospital this time around and were able to take Lucy home on my birthday (which was the best birthday present I could have ever asked for)! We love you so much already Lucy and can't wait to get you settled in at home :)
