Nana and Papa have been in NC over the past 5 weeks, going back and forth between my sister's and our house. It has been so nice to have an extended amount of time to visit! Here are some pictures I took this past weekend when we joined them in Charlotte:
And one at the park near our house:
Thanks for coming to see us Nana & Papa, we had such a great time! Sorry y'all were feeling run down while you were here. Hopefully, we can figure out if it was allergies or sickness! Love you!!!

Last Day
It was Jake's last day of school today. It is hard to believe he will only have one more year of preschool! Here is a picture of Jake with his class:
Jake had such a great time in class this past school year. He is really going to miss all of his buddies. Hopefully, they will join him in Mother's Day Out this summer! I found out Jake's artwork was among a select few that was chosen to be featured downtown for Youth Art Month this past March. Below is a picture of his work that was displayed:

Bike
Look who figured out how to ride his bike without any training wheels! The Skuut balance bike helped prepare him for this and the magic beans he found really gave him the self-confidence to go for it today:
Such a proud moment for mommy & daddy!
Way to go Jake!! We love you buddy!!!

18 Months!!
Look at this big girl go! Bye-bye to the baby days. Lucy has grown up so much lately! She is the most coordinated 18 month old I have ever seen. Look at her riding this little electric 4 wheeler around, her steering skills are quite impressive:
Since moving to the new house, Lucy has figured out how to use most of her riding toys. She has always been quite active and on the go, so the riding toys have added a new level excitement for her! I thought it was cute when Jake remarked recently, " Lucy is the walker, and I was the talker". He has heard me talk about how quickly Lucy picked up on all the gross motor skills and how early he developed speech/communication skills. So, I thought he summed that up quite eloquently! Lucy actually does "talk" a lot. Her words just aren't completely clear yet, so we aren't understanding everything that's coming out. This hasn't seemed to slow her down a bit though. Her level of understanding is off the charts!
I was trying to get a couple of pictures of her today (on the actual day she turned 18 months old), but she was too busy on the phone to pay me any attention (they grow up so fast, don't they?!):
Lucy has remained interested in potty-training, so that has been a big plus! Still not sleeping through the night however. I think she is going to be one of those kiddos who doesn't until they're two!! But that's ok, there will be plenty of time to sleep later on, let's enjoy the good stuff...
We love you Lucy! The past 18 months has been such a special time in our life!! Thank you for every bit of it!!!
18 Month Stats:
Weight: 23 lbs. 15ou. (65%)
Height: 33 1/4 in. (85%)
Head: 18 3/4 (80%)
