Pumpkins

Ok.....so, Jake agreed to let me take some pictures of the two of them by the pumpkins (from the inside of the house though)!  Probably not a bad idea anyways, since it was hard to get Lucy to sit still on the front steps!   These turned out pretty cute:

Guess it's time to start raking!  Notice in the picture below, Lucy's top side tooth is starting to come down before the other middle one (which is actually in the process of breaking through itself):

 They both went straight for the red car after the pumpkin pictures (guess that was a little more fun)! 

BBQ Festival

 Here are some pictures of us at the Lexington Barbeque Festival yesterday.  Very fun, great barbeque!

Fall

So, I was trying to get Jake to join in the pictures above with the pumpkins...but he wasn't having it!  Maybe I'll try to sneak some in before we carve them for Halloween!!

Almost Walking!

Above are some pictures of me walking around the house with Lucy over the weekend.  She actually purposefully let go for the first time and started taking some steps on her own on Friday night.  She continued to take more steps on her own throughout the weekend, which was very exciting!  She is actually doing what Jake was doing when I first called it that he was walking.  And then it seemed to take him a couple more weeks before he really had it down on his own.  So, I am sure it will be the same for her!  Below, are some pictures of her playing yesterday.  As you can see from the last picture, I think she was walking back and forth from the table to the car:

Fall Festival

 Above is one excited little kiddo on his way to the parade (Friday night) that starts off the Fall Festival, where we had fun all weekend long!  Below is one silly picture I took while we were at the parade:

 There was a great turn out this year as usual.  It is always so much fun with all the art vendors and fun stuff for the kids to do.  Saturday was especially great b/c the weather was so nice:

 I took the kids back on Sunday for a quick bounce session for Jake.  The weather was much, much colder- so we didn't stay for long (but of course, we still had so much fun):

Another great year at the Fall Festival.  I was very pregnant with Lucy at the last one, so it was neat to see her (almost walking) and having so much fun at this one!  I can't believe it has almost been one year :)  And, Jake had a blast again this year!!  It will be neat to watch both of them bouncing at the next one!!!

11 Months Old

Can you believe we only have one more month until this little girl is 1 year old ?!  Busy, busy, busy- that is all I can say.  That is the only way the time has gone by this fast!  Life changes a little when you have a full of energy little kiddo and a very, very, very active little baby.  Lucy can really get around (and I mean quick).  Look at her pulling up on my leg and standing up in the door way:

And she has the best big brother.  He loves that she has been able to do more and more with him lately!  The two of them are so cute together:

This past month Lucy took a big interest in trying to figure out how to walk.  She can stand on her own, balanced without support.  And, she has even taken a couple of steps by herself!  She has gotten really good at walking around holding onto one of our hands and sometimes she just needs one finger.  So it shouldn't be too much longer before this little gal is walking around on her own.  

It's been another great month!  Oh yeah, and...we've had one more tooth come down (on top this time)!!

Quick Trip

We just got back from a weekend trip to see Nanny in Kentucky.  We wish it was longer, but we'll look forward to Thanksgiving!  I kept leaving my camera at the house, so these are pretty much the only pictures I took:

It was a great trip as usual, filled with fun adventures to the farm and visits with aunts, uncles, and cousins!  Too bad I wasn't able to capture Jason and Jake's excursion into the "oopy, goopy, poopy" barn lot with their knee high boots on.  Jake thought it was absolutely a blast and he loved getting to feed the mule!  Lucy really noticed the animals this time and would giggle when they came closer.  She also really enjoyed rolling around in the grass.  She would throw herself back in the grass, laugh, get back up and do it all over again!  So much fun :)
