My, my, my...Lucy- what a big month! Look at this big girl (with her first haircut)!! I can't believe how much has happened in just one months time!!! Right after she turned 7 months old, Lucy learned how to sit up by herself. And a couple of days ago, she started the first stages of crawling. Two big skills Lucy- way to go girl!
This has probably been the most sleepless month we've had, but I imagine two big trips and two bottom teeth coming in had a little something to do with that!! Lucy's first tooth started coming in Father's Day weekend and the other one was soon to follow. So it was a little bit of a cranky/fussy month, but it is all totally worth it! I mean, look at this cutie pie- she is just so, so sweet:
I imagine this next month is going to be a busy one for us since Lucy is starting to crawl! Now we have two kiddos to chase around!! There's never a dull moment around the Bradford household...and we're loving every minute of it :)

Beach Trip
After only a week back at home, Jake and Lucy got to take another great trip. This time to the beach, to see Nanny!
Of course, I didn't get any pictures with Nanny during this visit. We also got to spend time with Aunt Freida/ Uncle Lacy, Bev/Paul, and little Lacy at the beach and I didn't get any pictures of those visits either! Lucy was a little cranky during this trip because here first tooth started coming in the weekend before. Also, we left in a rush to get Jake to the doctor due to an ear infection. I think these are the reasons I failed to get many pictures during this trip. We did however manage to take some during our time feeding the seagulls in Southport on our last full day:
Regardless, it was a great trip and much fun was had by all! Nanny, hopefully it will work out where we can all meet back up at the beach for Labor Day weekend!! Thanks for everything- we miss you already :)

Texas Trip
We had so much fun during our recent trip to Texas! Jake and Lucy loved getting to play with their cousins and spend time with Aunt Allison (who we hadn't seen in 3 years!!), Uncle Jarratt, Dante, and Nana/Papa:
Jake had fun wrestling with Papa! And check Lucy out, she started sitting up unsupported really well during this trip:
So much fun! But so sad saying good-bye!!
We'll look forward to our next trip!!!

7 Months Old
Ok, so where did the last month go? It really does seem like I just posted Lucy's six month blog!! And now, she is already seven months old:
Lucy is sitting up so well now. She almost has it completely on her own. She can definitely sit up unsupported on the floor for brief periods of time, but she still needs someone close by to catch her in case she falls. I imagine that will change any day now:
And look who is so close to crawling! It won't be too much longer!!
This girl is ready to go!!!

Our Big Boy
Well, Jake finished his first year of preschool early last week! They had an ice cream party at the park on their last day. I failed to get any pictures b/c it was the party I had signed up to help with and I stayed pretty busy. But they were all so cute (8 boys) sitting around the table eating their ice cream together and running around the park playing chase. All of the boys in Jake's class really liked him a lot. Jake became really good buddies with one of them and was even randomly assigned to the same soccer team as him.
Since the beginning of the year, Jake has been engaged in a lot of new things. He has even recently gone through a period of feeling scared of things, which seemed to have been brought on by the swim lessons we had him signed up for earlier in the year. Maybe he is just experiencing some separation anxiety. I am thinking it is just a phase he is going through b/c it seemed to get better after he went to his first dentist appointment (of all things) yesterday. Here are some before and after pictures they took at his visit:
They were so great and made it so much fun for him! He was even ready to give Mother's Day Out a try, which he went to today (something he would have certainly been scared to do last week)! But all in all, the things Jake has been involved in lately (minus the swim lessons), he has really enjoyed. And I know he will be so excited to play soccer again in the fall! We love you big boy and are so proud of you :)
